The house takes its name from the bridge which gives access to the premises(il ponticello means, in fact,little bridge).
The house is located in village Torreone, in the town of Cortona, which is only 2 km far, that can also be walked on foot. It's in the green,on a hill, from its windows one can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Val di Chiana and Lake Trasimeno; on clear days, you can see in the distance, Mount Amiata.
The apartment is part of a cottage which is on the top floor and has independent entrance for cars and pedestrians. The house consists of an entrance hall with kitchen, dining area, sitting area and fireplace, balcony, a small hallway, bathroom and a spacious master bedroom. (See map)
It has been recently restored and refurnished(June 2010) and has finish in brick, chestnut fixtures, heater, fireplace, washing machine, TV and DVD player, the ground outside.
The sofas are both convertible into beds, in such a way the house can accommodate up to 5 people.
